We’re proud to announce the Fall 2022 Edition of Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Decanter Series.

For this edition, barrels were pulled from across three floors of rickhouse F and one floor of rickhouse X at Heaven Hill Distillery’s main campus in Bardstown, Kentucky. The Bourbon was put into barrels in September 2003 and bottled in October 2022, making this the oldest release to date in the Old Fitzgerald series. Past editions have ranged in age from an 8-year-old release in the spring of 2021, up to a 17-year-old release in the spring of 2022.

Bottled in an ornate decanter, the fall 2022 edition features the black label that is consistent across all fall releases. And as was the case for the past editions, this edition’s tax strip, which has always been a signature of transparency on Bottled-in-Bond products, discloses when the liquid was produced and bottled. It also meets the strict requirements of a Bottled-in-Bond:

  • The product of a single distillery from a single distilling season.
  • Aged a minimum of four years.
  • Bottled at 100 proof or 50% alcohol by volume.

As the tenth national release in the series, the fall 2022 edition also continues our Bottled-in-Bond legacy. As a leader of the Bottled-in-Bond category, we are proud to offer a premium, allocated product within this special class that showcases the authenticity and quality of the American Whiskey portfolio.

Acquired in 1999 by Heaven Hill, the legendary Old Fitzgerald line is well-known for its distilling pedigree and intriguing story behind its namesake, John E. Fitzgerald. In 1999, Heaven Hill bought the brand and began distilling it at Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky.
